Roadmap & Key Milestones

2025 → 2026 Roadmap

Building the Global Robot Economy

Modulr’s development path moves from live teleoperation to full-scale deployment of a global robotics network.

The timeline below outlines the next major milestones as the network expands from early pilots to mass adoption.

Q4 2025 – Foundation

The groundwork for the Modulr Network goes live.

  • Finalize direct peer-to-peer teleoperation protocol

  • Launch the Modulr testnet (MDR)

  • Create the first user dashboard for robot teleoperation

  • Integrate early compute, storage, data, and AI partners

  • Build the Modulr Blockchain Explorer and initial API suite

  • Open early contributor and validator reward programs

This quarter establishes the technical and community base that everything else builds on.

Q1 2026 – Early Network Access

Teleoperation becomes real for partners and early users.

  • Real-time robot demonstrations for partners and developers

  • Launch of the Modulr web app with blockchain-based payments (USD & MDR)

  • Continued matchmaking between robots and operators

  • Validator and node onboarding

  • SDK development and expansion of partner/user campaigns

This stage turns the network from concept into live, interactive experience.

Q2 2026 – Production & Ecosystem Growth

  • Mainnet launch (early Q2) with exchange listings

  • Begin production of Modulr-branded custom robots🤖

  • Expand the ecosystem to include robotics companies and institutions

  • Broaden teleoperation services for campus tours and remote tourism

  • Release of Switchboard, a map for discovering and connecting services

The network starts operating across industries, linking physical machines and digital tools in one live environment.

Q3 2026 – Expansion & Interoperability

  • Extend teleoperation into retail and entertainment sectors

  • Unveil the Modulr Games Arena

  • Launch alpha/beta testing for Modulr-powered robot games

  • Achieve MDR interoperability across Ethereum, Base, Solana, and more

  • Begin rollout of co-chain development:

    • Modulr.Code – user-deployed smart contracts

    • Modulr.Database – verifiable on-chain storage for telemetry and data

    • Modulr.Web – decentralized hosting for control panels and profiles

This period expands Modulr’s network reach and connects it with major blockchain ecosystems.

Q4 2026 – Global Rollout

  • Scale Modulr robots for production and distribution

  • Launch the Modulr platform for hosting large-scale physical games

  • Continue co-chain development, adding:

    • Modulr.AI – intelligence integration layer

    • Modulr.Gaming – multiplayer infrastructure for racing, combat, & collaborative games

By the end of 2026, Modulr begins to establish its foothold as the global operating layer for real-world robotics, connecting machines, users, and data through one unified network.
