Introducing Modulr

Powering the Global Robot Economy | The Open Network for Robotics, AI, Data, and Compute

In a Nutshell

Modulr lets anyone operate any robot from anywhere on Earth—instantly, securely, and in real time.

Robotic systems are incredibly complex and require a multitude of different technologies from numerous companies and service providers. Robots are expensive, challenging for people to access (and configure), and do not come pre-built with valuable add-ons (like AI models, storage, etc).

Modulr solves this problem via an open network that combines robotic systems, AI models/agents & apps, data management services, compute/edge computing power, and more under one roof.

This open network is a modular, open framework for everyone to use and contribute to.

It will serve as the foundation of the future global robot economy.

The Core Idea

We built Modulr around a simple principle:

Any machine, anywhere, should be operable through a shared network.

To make that possible, Modulr provides two key capabilities:

  1. Teleoperation at global scale - low-latency, real-time control for robots and connected systems.

  2. Open access to intelligence and resources - rent or deploy AI models, data services, and compute directly through the network.

Together, these create a practical foundation for what we call the robot-enabled economy, where robotics becomes accessible to both individuals and businesses at scale. Robots are often expensive, challenging to setup for non-developers, and superfluous for long-term ownership.

Modulr unlocks access to the world's robots, much like Airbnb unlocks access to the world's vacation spots.

Why it Matters

Most robotic systems today are closed—limited to a single for-profit company, manufacturer, or software stack. This slows progress, increases cost, and prevents collaboration.

Modulr removes those barriers.

It connects machines, intelligence, and infrastructure into an open, verifiable network that anyone can build on.

Modulr makes it possible to:

  • Control industrial, agricultural, or exploratory robots from anywhere.

  • Deploy fleets of service robots in hospitality, logistics, tourism, and more.

  • Integrate AI models for perception, language, or decision-making directly into live robot operations.

  • Rent or contribute compute, data, or AI applications that other operators can use.

From dangerous jobs and disaster relief to education and entertainment, Modulr turns robotics into an accessible, peer-to-peer network for nearly every industry on Earth. For a full list of possibilities, please see Modulr Use Cases.

By combining global teleoperation with shared access to AI, data, and compute, Modulr enables a world where robots are not isolated tools, but part of a connected global workforce.

The Mission

Our mission is to make robotics accessible to everyone. We're building an open layer where people, robots, and AI can work together without geographic or institutional limits.

In fact, the ONLY way to connect all of the world's for-profit companies in robotics, AI, data, and compute into one unified network is via a neutral third party like Modulr.

Operate any robot, anywhere.

So why is this such a revolutionary breakthrough? The answer lies in the problem we're solving: The Robotics Bottleneck.
