Co-chain Rollout
Building the Foundation First
To make sure each network operates reliably and delivers measurable value, Modulr is launching the first generation of co-chains internally. Each one is purpose-built, tied to a clear vertical, and designed to demonstrate how the system scales across industries.
By focusing on quality and interoperability early, we ensure every co-chain becomes a proven building block for others that follow. Once this foundation is stable, co-chain deployment will gradually open to developers, enterprises, and communities.
Co-chain Tenets
Each co-chain starts as an independent environment that inherits Modulr’s core architecture:
Shared Security: All co-chains run on the same cryptographic base and Proof-of-Utility validation model.
Custom Logic: Each network defines its own task types, reward systems, and participation rules.
Native Incentives: Activity and rewards are denominated in MDR.
Full Interoperability: Data, compute, AI and any additional modules remain accessible across all co-chains.
This structure lets Modulr expand into new industries without fragmenting the ecosystem or compromising security.
The First Modulr Co-chains
These are the initial co-chains that Modulr will be rolling out:
Modulr.Robotics The core network that powers global teleoperation. It connects operators, fleets, and service providers across the world, enabling real-time control of physical robots with on-chain tracking and settlement.
Modulr.Code An environment for deploying and monetizing developer tools, automation scripts, and robotics-related software. This co-chain connects developers directly to the hardware layer, enabling real-time code execution and updates tied to physical systems.
Modulr.AI A marketplace for intelligence. Developers can deploy and rent AI models that robots and systems can call upon in real time—vision, perception, decision-making, and more. It’s how robots gain shared access to intelligence across the network.
Modulr.Gaming A network dedicated to robotics-driven entertainment and real-world interactive experiences. This includes physical gaming events, competitions, and simulations where teleoperated robots interact with real environments.
Modulr.Database A decentralized data infrastructure for high-volume robotics, AI, and compute applications. It provides shared, secure data management for fleets, AI models, and enterprise partners—forming the backbone for long-term storage and cross-chain intelligence.
Modulr.Web A network for serving and monetizing web applications that interface directly with robots and AI models. It allows anyone to deploy interactive control panels, dashboards, and user experiences that connect seamlessly to other Modulr co-chains.
The Path to Decentralization
These Modulr-led co-chains represent the first phase of the network’s expansion. Once these core systems are established and their frameworks are proven, Modulr will open up co-chain deployment to external builders, allowing organizations, developers, and even communities to launch their own specialized networks.
The long-term vision is full decentralization, where any team can deploy a co-chain using the same tools Modulr built—secure, interoperable, and governed through shared standards.
